Q: Please introduce yourself and tell us about your experience in audio.
A: My name is Kacie Sharon Willis and I have my bachelors in Music Recording Technology and my masters in Sound Design. I don’t consider myself a sound designer, but rather a creative sound consultant, analyst and enthusiast. I also do occasional location sound work.
Q: What is your role(s) at Moon Echo Audio?
A: I am the voice of Moon Echo Audio, in both a literal a figurative way. I provide the voice overs for the demos and also write and curate the Moon Echo blog and social media portfolio.
Q: The Air Designed Demo is very stirring. What was the inspiration for your vocal performance?
A: The material of the piece is a bit vague, but I think that was the point. Air is mysterious and constantly changing directions and I tried to convey a sense of aimlessness and wandering. I think that the meaning of the content is largely left open to interpretation, which is good because the content of the Air Reason refill can be used in a variety of different mediums as well.
Q: What can we expect from you in the future? More audio demos? Video content?
A: All of the above. I think that as Moon Echo Audio continues to expand the brand we will be exploring many creative promotional opportunities. We would love to collaborate with fellow artists and sound professionals to help not only build the company, but enhance the world with creative endeavours.
Q: Thank you for your time Kacie, do you have any closing thoughts?
A: Check back with the blog regularly and follow us on Twitter and Instagram! But most importantly, look to Moon Echo Audio whenever you are in need of unique material to serve as the building blocks for your next audio project.
